Vertbaudet encourage kids to get creative
Children’s clothing brand Vertbaudet are running a ‘budding designers’ competition whereby children are asked to create a design for a winter warmer accessory, with the lucky winners seeing their creation’s produced and sold in Vertbaudet catalogues. The competition is international with a winner announced in every country Vertbaudet represent.
Last year’s theme was the ‘perfect boots’ and children aged between 6 and 12 years from all over Europe stepped up to the challenge. A total of seven winners saw their fun and colourful designs produced and are currently being sold in this year’s Autumn/Winter catalogue and Vertbaudet are confident the competition will be just as successful this time round.
If you didn’t know, Vertbaudet specialise in girls and boys clothing as well as maternity wear. Some of their ranges, especially the girls clothing, has a very ‘European’ feel which makes them stand out from the usual brands you find on the high street. You have to applaud Vertbaudet for their innovative idea as a way of encouraging children to be creative and getting them involved with artistic activities. Let’s face it; anything that gets the children away from their computers and television’s for a couple of hours is a good idea in my book!
The fact that the winners see their creations produced and sold in catalogues is a fantastic prize, although the children will probably be far more excited by the fact that they also win a Nintendo Games console as well as £300 to spend on Vertbaudet products.
If you’re interested in getting your kids involved, entries are accepted until the 15th October so there is still time to get their design in. Good luck!
